Welcome to CrewMate! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CrewMate mobile application ("App") operated by CrewMate ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
CrewMate is exclusively for verified airline crew members. To use the App, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be a current employee of an airline (flight attendant, pilot, captain, or other crew position).
- Register with a valid airline email address for verification purposes.
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
We reserve the right to verify your crew status at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts that cannot be verified or that we believe were created fraudulently.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.
You may not share your account with others, create multiple accounts, or transfer your account to another person.
3. Acceptable Use
When using CrewMate, you agree to:
- Treat other crew members with respect and professionalism.
- Use the App for its intended purpose: connecting with crew during layovers, discovering spots, creating plans, and building community.
- Follow our Community Guidelines.
- Not use the App for dating, solicitation, or sexual purposes.
- Not post content that is harassing, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your airline affiliation.
- Not use the App for any commercial purpose, advertising, or spam.
- Not attempt to access other users' accounts or private data.
- Not interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
- Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create on CrewMate (reviews, photos, plans, messages). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App for the purpose of providing and improving the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not endorse user content and are not liable for any content posted by users. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
5. Spot Recommendations
Spot recommendations, reviews, and ratings on CrewMate are user-generated opinions. We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any spot recommendation. CrewMate is not responsible for your experience at any recommended venue. Always exercise your own judgment.
6. Safety and Location
CrewMate includes location-based features designed to connect crew during layovers. You are responsible for your own safety when meeting other users in person. We recommend meeting in public places and exercising the same caution you would with any new acquaintance.
CrewMate is not responsible for any interactions, disputes, or incidents that occur between users, whether online or in person.
7. Alpha/Beta Testing
CrewMate is currently in alpha testing. During this period:
- The App is provided free of charge.
- Features may change, be added, or be removed without notice.
- Bugs and issues are expected — please report them through the in-app feedback feature or email us.
- We may reset data, modify features, or make significant changes as we develop the App.
- The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
8. Intellectual Property
The CrewMate name, logo, design, and all original content and features of the App are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings page or by contacting us.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including limitations of liability, intellectual property, and dispute resolution).
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrewMate and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the App shall not exceed $100 USD.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CrewMate and its creators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by updating the date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
